2018 THE CONFRONTATION CLAUSE: MAKING THE CASE FOR ADMISSIBILITY
This training will include a discussion of the appellate courts' decisions on The Confrontation Clause, with an emphasis on the use of the Forfeiture by Wrongdoing doctrine to admit otherwise potentially inadmissible evidence. While this course will focus on domestic and sexual violence cases, the underlying concepts will be relevant to any case in which witness interference or intimidation is present.

Training check-in will begin at 8:30am on Friday, July 20. The program will begin at 9:00am and conclude by 5:00pm.

REIMBURSEMENT: Attendees traveling more than 35 miles away from the conference site may stay overnight during the training period and will be reimbursed for lodging, meals and mileage according to state reimbursement guidelines. Daily commuters will be reimbursed mileage only if driving a personal vehicle.
